Our providers share the responsibility of responding to your urgent medical concerns after hours. If you have a medical concern that cannot wait until our normal business hours, please contact our answering service telephone at (703) 755-1469. A provider will return your call within 30 minutes. Please contact the answering service again if you have not received a call during this time. Many insurance companies provide a 24-hour nurse based triage line. We encourage you to take advantage of their expertise for non-emergency issues. Their telephone number may be found on your insurance card or by contacting their customer service department. However, please call 911 if you have a life threatening emergency. The National Capital Poison Center is an independent, private, not-for-profit organization that provides 24-hour telephone guidance for poisoning emergencies free of charge. They may be reached at 1-800-222-1222 or their website at www.poison.org . We request that prescription refills, referrals, and requests for appointments be addressed during our normal business hours.
Monday through Friday 7:30am-8:30am
Our practice offers walk-in hours for our established patients on a first come, first serve basis. Appointments are not necessary during this time. This service is intended for evaluation of urgent medical concerns (ie. sore throat, ear pain, new rashes). We ask that you please schedule an appointment during our normal appointment hours for all other non-urgent medical concerns, including chronic medical issues, emergency room and urgent care follow ups, as well as well child evaluations.
Our office sees patients on a walk in basis from 7:30 to 8:30 AM Monday through Friday only. All other visits are by appointment. If a patient comes into the office to be seen and does not have an appointment, either during office hours or after hours, our policy is as follows: The parent will be advised of the next available appointment. If the parent insists on been seen immediately, we will do so if we have a provider available and we will charge a $50 urgent care fee in addition to the patient's regular copay. This fee may not be covered by the patient's insurance company, therefore becoming the responsibility of the parent.
