The flu vaccine has arrived for ages 6 months and up. The flumist is also available for children ages 2 and up that have no pre-existing medical issues. We will be setting up clinics for our patients. Please call the office to schedule your appointment. The AAP recommends the flu vaccine be given to all infants and children from 6 months to 18 years of age.

Infants' Acetaminophen Concentration Change

Companies are changing the concentration of their medications for infants, and there are new dosing directions for these products.

For children under 2 years of age, no dose is provided on the OTC label-caregivers are instructed to call their doctor for dosing instructions.

Also, there may be a time when both the old and new concentrations of infants' acetaminophen products are in stores and also in patients' homes please take care when giving your child acetaminophen to verify which concentration you are using.

The dosing information is here.
